We celebrate our charter member - Wanda
We were chartered in 1958. We still have one original charted member Wanda Miller, who is very active in Eta Theta, she is the chair lady for our Ways and Means and has been for years. Wanda will do whatever, whenever she is need or asked. This lady doesn't know the word "NO". Thank GOD for her. She is a beautiful lady who is very giving and kind.
ETA THETA PROJECTS AND CHARITIES
We have concession for all middle school football, basketball and track. We also have concessions for JV high school football games. This helps us raise money for St. Judes, Heartsprings, Easter Seals, and other State charities that we donate too.
Some local charities we give to are Cheney High School Senior Scholarship, Cheney Emergency Fund (which we are in charge of raising enough food to supply about 30 families at Easter), & Cheney H.S. “After Prom Party.”
We also have the local Easter Egg Hunt every year for the children of our community. We stuff the plastic eggs with candy at one of our socials and then hide then early on Saturday morning before Easter for the big HUNT!!!
Every Monday night we play Bingo with the residents of the Cheney Golden Age Home. In May we take May flowers to the residents also for" May Day".

In 2011-2012 Eta Theta was recognized at the 2012 Cheney Area Chamber of Commerce dinner. They received a plaque that was dated 2012 & read:
“In Recognition of Your Hard Work & Dedication to the Growth & Success of Cheney."
They do all middle school sports concessions which gives them the money to help locally with the Cheney Emergency fund, Project Prom, Scholarships etc..E.S.A. State wide projects and St. Jude’s at the national level. Every chapter does something outstanding and they deserve to be bragged on. Held a Rush Party at Felipe’s Mexican Restaurant. Jacque Keller received her jewel pin and Cheryl Voss received her fourth degree pallas athene award.
Eta Theta Cheney was chartered in 1958 by the first ESA chapter in Cheney, which is no longer active. We still have one charter member on our membership list, as well as several members who have been with us over 45 years. We are active in our community, running the concession stands for all middle school sporting events, sponsoring college scholarships, and putting on the annual Easter Egg Hunt. We currently have 24 members and can count another 30 or more former members in our community. We celebrate 60 year in ESA in 2013. The picture at the right are the members who received the Anniversary recognition at State Convention.
